Project 2 proposal

Moving away from home is the start of every ones life. It’s a new beginning. In order to start new though, you must become lost first. Finding a group to emerge your self in is a challenge. I was involved in a dance community back home as a competition dancer. Moving to Tallahassee made me realize how much I was going to miss dance. I decided I wanted to emerge myself in to a new dance community and maybe experiment with a new position. I found a studio on Thomasville road called artistry dance alliance. I have a close personal relationship with the owner/director. She had been a large contributor to who I am today. I was hoping that artistry would have the energy I was searching for. I have always been a strong believer in associating kids in the arts because that is how I found who I was and who I wanted to become. I asked myself why I thought it is important for children to find a community to be involved in and experience a passion for something they truly love. Could this studio benefit the children the way I strived for it to? The studio is still somewhat new, but has been extremely effective in just the one year it has been open. Finding a way to express yourself artistically is an important factor to finding out who you are. I believe Artistry allows children to fully express themselves while creating life long friendships.
