Rhetorical situations are extremely important when it comes to writing. For some odd reason I always relate writing to dance. Rhetorical situation is what I struggle with most in writing but is also what comes so easily in dance classes. As artist we must learn how to inform but not tell. With any art you’re supposed to feel what It is telling you and interpret it differently than the person standing beside you. Rhetorical situation really applies to this idea. Being able to describe something to a reader and have them interpret it with their own individual imagination. Imagination is what makes reading worth it to so many people, or me at least. Being able to create a solid base for someone and having them add to the base is a skill that is truly incredible. It’s kind of like women today. You have to imply how they feel, because they can’t come out and say how they truly feel. I express my emotions through dance though. Being able to pair a song and emotions with choreography truly makes an incredible story. You may never truly know the meaning of the dance though; you have to allow your imagination to do the work.
