Heroes and Villains
As I was skimming through the chapter of the BBG book, there was one chapter that really caught my attention. Most of the chapter’s contained normal English writing topics but Chapter 14 are about heroes and villains. I personally, have always loved the super hero movies but seem to strangely like villains more than the super heroes (how can you not love the joker). This chapter discusses the characteristics of a super hero and a super villain, yet in most movies today the villains are not weak or cowardly at all but are just as strong as the heroes. Super hero and super villains are exact opposites and this dynamic creates an extensive amount of conflict, where essentially the good guy always wins. The super movies contain what a great essay should require. Your essay should have the noble side of the argument but also have a healthy balance of opposing arguments. This chapter teaches us to prepare for what critics may say. Towards the end of the essay, there should be a noticeable side you are taking which, whether be good or bad, is the super hero of the story. This “noble” side wins the whole argument through conflict and much battle.
